The collection consists of office files, ledgers, publications, and some separated materials. The office files are made up of correspondence, publications, financial records, apprenticeship files, trial records, and other papers relating to the day to day running of the local. Ledgers, ranging in dates from 1916 to the 1970s, include initiation fees, dues, and minutes. Also included are the dues and minute books from "colored" Local 1463 which joined Local 30 in the 1960s. Publications include union journals (AFL-CIO, IBPAT, etc.) and a series of Labor Day directories for trade in Savannah, Ga. Oversize files include a few day books, embossing stamp, and certificates. Photos are of union members.
